Works great… Completely effective.

I needed a solution to block ads and popups, etc. WebGuard delivered. What I like about WebGuard is that all the filtering happens locally on your computer — and not after accessing some distant centralized server that could slow down my web browsing, and that could even serve as a security risk through DNS leakage (i.e., sharing the names of the web sites you visit with some 3rd party server). That isn’t an issue at all with WebGuard since the database of prohibited sites resides in a configuration file on your computer. To stay relevant, the database updates itself automatically. This app is a good overall solution and is worth the money.
